Thanks for stopping by my neck o’ the woods.

Thanks for stopping by my neck o’ the woods.
So, you’re here for coaching. Maybe.
And you’re expecting a proper sales page.
You know. Problem. Agitation. Overcoming Objections. Yada, yada.
Nope .
I’m not doing that.
I’m not going to use my persuasive skills to sell you on coaching.
For one thing, you don’t need anyone to push pain points. You’ve always been a talented writer (Go away, imposter syndrome!), you just want to be confident that you’re submitting your very best work.
And if you accepted a project that’s a bit daunting, or you need some biz-building direction from someone who’s been in the trenches, well, that’s how you grow!

So we’re skipping the ‘click-or-die’ sell here.
Agree?
Let’s move right into the deets of exactly how it works.
But wait.
First, you kinda want to hear from others who’ve done this. (“Was it worth it?”)
And you’re entitled to hear from...
Ambitious copywriters who’ve been here, done this
I really felt I needed an older wiser owl with broad shoulders, perspective, experience, to guide, critique, AND TO ACTUALLY TALK TO. (There’s only so much you can get out of just listening to The Copywriter Club…) I really felt you listened, you got me, and you also gave me clear, confident advice. You made a big issue feel simple and easy to deal with. Knowing that I can turn to you, makes this new-ish journey so much less daunting. And you know what – I really appreciate the price. It wasn’t extortionate. I’m sure your clients pay you much more than that, but I really appreciate you making your service within reach to someone starting off. THANKS, NECHY!!
Getting access to Nechy’s brain (and heart!) is a copywriter’s treat! Nechy gives eye-opening clarity, brilliant solutions, and step-by-step direction – always with her trademark generosity and sincerity. I love the way she doesn’t focus only on the actual copy but provides marketing direction too and helps you build an optimized sales funnel. Nechy sees the forest AND the trees – and makes sure you see it too. Her responses cover every possible angle, are perfectly clear (and fun!) to read, and answers the questions you didn’t even know you had. Nechy’s level of caring and attention to detail leaves you feeling empowered and excited to continue working.
Nechy’s feedback on my landing page was very on-target and made a lot of sense! She has a lot of insight and experience. Particularly because she was also a designer, she has a comprehensive scope on the copy vs. graphic relationship. She’s also very warm, encouraging, and not patronizing or condescending.
When I was working on my own website, I wanted to make sure the copy was good/unembarrassing 🙂 Nechy was so encouraging and confidence-boosting. She was even kind enough to laugh at my jokes 🙂 The constructive criticism was on point, and phrased sensitively. All in all, the review gave me a lot more confidence and allowed me to feel good about sending people to my site!
When you work with Nechy, you get the sense that she genuinely wants you to succeed. I appreciate that her advice is actionable and made me feel empowered. It wasn’t just, “You can do this” It was also, “and this is exactly how.” She is generous with sharing her expertise (and she’s got lots of it). It also helps that she has a killer sense of humor. 😉
Nechy is an astute coach who guides her clients to succeed by holding their hands throughout the process, yet imbuing in them the confidence to achieve on their own. She delved into the nitty-gritties of my homepage, gave great advice, referred me to some other sites to gain more insight and above all, made me feel confident in my delivery!
When I was hired to complete a project that was different from anything I had done before, I reached out to Nechy for guidance. Nechy gave me just what I needed: clear direction on how to approach the project. She definitely lives up to her wise owl avatar!!
Members of CopyTribe, about the Slack moderation and critiques
Nechy’s responses in Slack give me that “Phew, mom’s here. She’ll actually know what to do” feeling. Like a cross between confidence and security (no jokes! lots of opinions running around on slack, it can get a little scary;) Her comments have the meat:) You see it in the detailed, sensible content of her advice, thoroughly communicated, and the experience that she references in her responses.
You just can’t pretend to know that much stuff!
Nechy doesn’t criticize and belittle; she teaches and empowers. She shows you how to improve your work through specific, honest, all-encompassing feedback. Guiding me to improve my copy by gently pointing out my mistakes and kindly reinforcing my strong points, I walk away from months of interactions with her believing I can succeed. When I needed Nechy’s help, she stepped into my shoes and showed she understood me. When she noticed a pattern in my work, she made note of it and gave me appropriate feedback. With outstanding attention to detail, Nechy helped me develop my thoughts, improve my writing, and gain confidence in my abilities. Nechy, thank you!!
You have a gift with words that’s inspiring. The method of how you turn detailed info into concise clear pearls of wisdom is Magical. That’s aside from the way you keep track of everyone, their Q & As and include us all in the convo. I have gained so much from all of your wisdom.
Now that’s a testimonial for your copy coaching service.
Really, thanks a million. We will miss your invaluable insight terribly!
And from Michal Eisikowitz, Founder of CopyTribe
Nechy is an expert copywriter and copywriting coach, period. Nechy’s guidance when working as a coach in my CopyTribe training program proved invaluable to our members. She communicates respectfully and warmly, in a way that makes newer copywriters feel totally at ease. Her copy critiques were detailed and instructive, all in a gentle and empowering way.
As a copywriter, Nechy is exceptionally meticulous and research-driven. Every step she takes is thought out to the end; she is a strategist with a broad understanding of marketing who offers far more value than just the copy piece.
Nechy has my warmest recommendation — both as a copywriter and copywriting coach!
Everyone accelerates faster with a guide, right?
My own road to real profit would have been a lot smoother with an experienced coach. One day, when I write my book, The Dangerous Life of a Freelancer, you’ll laugh at my newbie blunders. But back then, I didn’t know of any copy coaches. So I learned it all the arggghhh! way.
The result: I became pretty passionate about giving you the direction I wish I’d had, at a price that doesn’t swallow your hard-earned profit.

And, as promised:

So, here's the deals
(Should be deal, I know, but you want more than one, right?)Pro tip: If this session is for a client project, try to work your session fee into your quote to reflect the additional value.
Don’t need a full session?
Ever wished you could pick an owl brain? But a 1-hour session would be overkill?
Have something else in mind?
More kind words from your kind of people
When my client mentioned that he wanted his website to be a full guide to his services and reach a global audience, I was a bit overwhelmed! Nechy gave me clarity on how to approach the project. I instantly felt confident in my ability to tackle the project with the belief that I would get it right and deliver what the client wanted.
She gives value, clarity, and direction without being patronizing. I know that when I’m ready for personal mentoring, I’m going to choose her. She’s very insightful, gives very focused, spot-on advice, always packaged in a supportive, loving way. She speaks very kindly. She has a solid answer for everything that leaves both the copywriter and the client happy, and she never makes anyone feel silly, incompetent, or less than.
I booked Nechy for coaching when I wrote my very first brochure, for a brand name client. I wanted to make sure I got it right. We did one pre-writing session and then critique, and the result was a great product that was MINE, not Nechy’s 😉 and the SKILLS to create another professional brochure. I’ve gained so much from Nechy during my copywriting journey. Thank you thank you thank you!
I wrote my own website, which took faster than I expected it to, so I thought I’m missing something, hence the need to ask for professional advice 🙂 I’m so, so happy that I sent it to Nechy for critique. I now have much more confidence in the web copy. Nechy has SUCH a NICE way of critiquing!
Nechy gave me clear actionable direction. She didn’t just point out what was wrong, she showed me how I can change it. I never felt put down/personally attacked because she frames everything so kindly and helpfully. I love that.
The thing that I loved most about the session was the follow up afterwards. When I asked questions by email afterwards, Nechy graciously answered and clarified any misconceptions. I didn’t feel like I was wasting her time/ annoying her by asking follow-up questions.
I felt that she really wanted my success and that meant a lot to me. Thank you, Nechy!
Still have some niggling questions?
Let's see if we can take care of that! What exactly happens in a 'before' session?
‘Before’ sessions don’t actually have to be before you begin working on the project!
As a matter of fact, if you come with some groundwork in place, we’ll accomplish more.
Here are some popular topics others have requested:
Pre-project sessions (one or more of these subtopics)
- structuring the deal (pricing, collabs and client management)
- conducting research for your project, using my proprietary spreadsheet for competitor audits
- assistance in developing surveys, polls and resources for in-depth research
Pre-writing sessions (one or more of these subtopics)
- creating a messaging hierarchy
- implementing that mountain of research
- tackling multiple services or multiple audiences
Are you really an expert in ev-er-y-thing copy?
Well.
I’ve critiqued 300+ pieces and worked with 170+ companies, so I’ve experience with a full smorg of deliverables. If you’re working on a website, landing page, sales page, ads, emails, and especially if you’re strategizing for a sales funnel, chances are, you’re covered.
But, it’s still possible to stump me.
When you book your session, you’ll be asked for some basic project background. If your project falls outside the areas of my expertise, I’ll refund you immediately and try to recommend a better fit.
What does follow-up questions via email mean?
Once you’ve had time to reflect on your coaching or critique session, you’ll likely have some questions. We don’t want those question marks floating around unattended, do we?
Simply organize them in one email and submit within 48 hours of your session.
(Note: This is not meant for new topics, next steps, or can-you-shelter-my bunny-for-the-summer queries.)
How do I get the most out of my live session?
Do plan for child-care
I love meeting little people, but having toddlers (or poodles:) on your person is distracting to me and makes it very hard for me to give you the value you deserve. Also, weird fact: Zoom amplifies background noise sometimes. My kid playing Magnatiles will sound like gunfire to you, so my owlettes will be tucked away, generally.
Do send your files in advance
I like to give your files a quick glance to consider the best use of your session. This helps me be MUCH more helpful, so be sure to take advantage. (Submit 24-hours before the session to get this perk.)
Do be prepared for a discussion
I never did make it to Hogwarts, so don’t count on brilliant copy magically appearing on the doc, ready to wrap in an hour. But if you set a realistic goal, have a good understanding of the business or NPO and send your files in advance, you can expect to achieve that goal, bez”H.
How far in advance should I schedule?
Well, as soon as possible, of course!
But we all know advance planning is not always feasible (hello, unpredictable clients:), so it’s helpful to know that:
- Doc critiques slots are more frequent, and you can generally count on snagging a slot within a week or so.
- Live coaching/critique slots (generally Sundays), and strategy sessions (generally Sundays and Wednesdays) are more limited, so be proactive if you can.
What if I want a longer critique?
Depending on the piece, I can usually thoroughly critique 500-700 words in the hour. If your piece is on the longer side, you can choose to:
- Indicate which part is most important to you, and I’ll do that first.
- Indicate how much additional time you’d like (30 min/$75), and you will receive an invoice for the additional amount if I need to use it.
Ready to hop onto my branch?
Great, I saved a spot for you!
(Right near the honey;)
